TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. For the purpose of these terms and conditions the following words shall have the following meanings

(a) “The Company” shall mean BAC Home Improvements Ltd

(b) “The Customer” shall mean the person or person’s for whom the company ie. BAC Home Improvements Ltd agrees to carry out the works for.

2. The company reserves the right to refuse or decline work, at its own discretion. 

3. All quotations are valid for 30 days from date sent. If quotation is accepted after 30 days, the company reserves the right to amend quotation to reflect any changes in materials quoted for. 

4. Where a written estimate has been produced, and an uplift is required to cover unforeseen or additionally requested works, these will be quoted for via email and agreed via email. Any additional works will require a 50% deposit to book in and the remaining 50% will be due upon completion of said works. All extras will be invoiced for accordingly. 

5. Terms of payment; deposit method, cleared funds prior to commencement, either by bank transfer or cheque, to the value of 25%, followed by a further 25% on the day of commencement, a 25% interim payment request will follow, and once the value of works are complete, a 25% final payment request is subject to completion if all works are finalised and checked. 

This may change if there is a supply issue on behalf of the manufacturer or where the customer has supplied the materials or merchandise to execute the works and there is a delay on these items not being available to the company to which they are unable to complete said works. In this instance, a surcharge may be charged accordingly for return visits and delays in completion.

6. If for any reason the customer should cancel the contract leading up to the commencement date, then the deposit is not refundable. 

7. The guarantee shall be for labour only in respect of fault workmanship for 12 months from the date of completion, with the manufacturer’s warranty in place.

(c) The company will not accept any liability for, or guarantee any materials supplied by the customer or consequential damage or fault. 

The guarantee will only apply once the contract is paid in full. The guarantee term will begin upon full and final payment.

8. All materials supplied by the company will remain the ownership of the company until paid for in full by the customer.

9. The company shall only be liable for rectifying work carried out and completed by the company and shall not be held responsible for ensuing damage or claims resulting from these works.

10. Protection works to any areas of the property, furniture, fixtures and fittings that are not included in the quotation but remain in the working area or access to the working area are the responsibility of the customer to protect, unless agreed prior and quoted for as part of the contract. If protection work is quoted for and carried out as part of the contract, all best efforts will be made to ensure these are protected as much as possible however the company can not be held liable for any damage to these areas, furniture, fittings or fixtures. We reserve the right to request any item to be removed from working area or access path should we deem it to be a hazard or subject to damage. 

11. In line with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the company reserve the right to request that any personnel present, not contracted or sub-contracted by the company, to remove themselves from the working area whilst works are in progress. 

12. The company may take photographs or videos of completed work for marketing purposes that may be posted on social or business platforms. No personal or private information, addresses or photos of customers will be shared as part of this. 

These terms and conditions and all contracts awarded between the company and the customer shall be governed and construed by English Law. 

Acceptance

By accepting our quotation and paying the you hereby agree to the above terms and conditions as laid down by BAC Home Improvements Ltd.

Any variation to the above must be agreed in writing to commencement.
